We are looking for a reponsible Technical Product Manager with independant thinking to join our team. In this role, you are going to be integrally involved in the full product lifecycle. You would be collaborating with Operations, Business Development, and Technical to design, build and launch new products, features, and improvements in a demanding agile development environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up the line haul network to connect the gateways with hinterland city for international shipments (YYZ/YVR)
  • Searching appropriate partners to co-load Uni own linehaul trucks, to be sure full capacity
  • Searching appropriate service providers and rates that fit the business’s needs
  • Negotiating price and service and security standard with truck/air/railway service providers, evaluating their performance regularly, maintain a list of service providers and their information, hold regular performance review meetings with service providers
  • Maintain good relationship with all truck/air/railway service providers
  • Maintain good relationship with Customs Brokers and bonded warehouse providers
  • Support team for Land trucking/air/railway booking of forwarding shipments after receiving international shipments at gateways / Bonded Warehouse
  • Create and manage Line Haul budgets and costs
  • Keep track of MAWB shipment status based on pre-alert information and follow up with Bonded warehouse for any releasing shipments when ready for pick-up
  • And unusual MAWB status, alert operations , management team, and the Key account customers(misrouting, delay)
  • Prepare and update line haul management SOP
  • Reply any Emails about any unusual MAWB status to the Key account Customers
  • To take up additional tasks as assigned
  • Back up for other team members when necessary
  • Develop and implement effective logistic procedures, policies, and standards
  • Manage the approved budget of the logistic and Linehaul Management team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant field
  • 3+ years of Supervisory experience
  • 5+ years of proven experience in the logistic/forwarding industry
  • Knowledge of local and overseas custom and regulations
  • Basic geography knowledge
  • Experienced training and supervision skills
  • Good report writing skills
