UniUni Partners with EasyPost to Add Parcel Insurance to Retail Shipping Platform

Integration expands shipment protection for small and medium-sized businesses using UniUni’s retail shipping service

Richmond, BC – March 19, 2026 – UniUni, a leading technology-enabled last-mile delivery company, today announced a partnership with EasyPost, a leading shipping API platform, to integrate EasyPost Parcel Insurance into UniUni’s retail shipping platform. The new feature provides small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with the ability to insure shipments valued up to US$800, offering greater protection and confidence when shipping higher-value goods.

“As more small businesses scale their e-commerce operations, they’re shipping higher-value products and need stronger protections built into their logistics workflows,” said Jax Zheng, Director of Partnerships at UniUni. “By integrating EasyPost Parcel Insurance into our retail platform, we’re making it easy for merchants to protect shipments directly at checkout while continuing to benefit from UniUni’s fast and reliable last-mile network.”

The integration is designed specifically for UniUni’s retail shipping platform, a self-serve solution that enables SMB merchants to quickly onboard, generate shipping labels, and manage orders. With the addition of EasyPost Parcel Insurance, customers can now add optional shipment protection directly during the label purchasing process.

The new offering helps address a key need for growing e-commerce businesses that ship higher-value products and require additional coverage beyond standard carrier protections.

Key benefits for SMB shippers include:

  • Expanded Shipment Protection: Merchants can insure packages valued up to US$800, providing added financial protection for higher-value goods.
  • Coverage for Common Delivery Risks: EasyPost Parcel Insurance covers packages that are lost, damaged, or stolen in transit, offering broader protection than many standard carrier policies.
  • Seamless Checkout Experience: Insurance can be added directly during label purchase through UniUni’s platform, allowing businesses to easily select coverage while generating shipments.
  • Support for Growing E-Commerce Businesses: The expanded insurance option helps UniUni serve a broader range of SMB merchants shipping higher-value products.

The insurance option is available as an add-on during the label purchasing process. In the event of a claim, UniUni assists merchants with collecting the required information and documentation before submitting the claim through EasyPost.

“Shipping insurance shouldn’t add complexity to a merchant’s workflow,” said Sam Hancock, Chief Operating Officer at EasyPost. “Our partnership with UniUni makes it simple for businesses to protect shipments against loss, damage, or theft while continuing to scale their shipping operations with confidence.”

The new insurance feature is available to UniUni retail platform customers now. For more information on UniUni, visit uniuni.com.
